Local Handling / Special Drives
Shipments that are being delivered to a secluded or private destination oftentimes require a Special Drive/ Local Handling. This is typically a pickup and delivery in the same city or state, similar to a last mile service.
Best known as a Merchandise Passport, the ATA Carnet is a collection of international customs documents that simplify the customs clearance process and voids duties, Value Added Taxes (VAT) and temporary import bonds for high value shipments.
On Board Courier (OBC) / Hand Carry
Confidentiality, later pick up and earlier delivery times are some of the greatest features of an OBC. One of our employees will board a flight with your goods for immediate delivery to the recipient on hand. We’ll provide real-time updates so you’re always in the know.
Chartering an aircraft (airplane or helicopter) affords our clients the discretion, space and schedule to ship/deliver their goods as they see fit. We’ll guide you through the barriers often associated with Customs. Worldnet will prepare, submit vital Customs documents for your shipment. Temporary Importation under Bond (TIB)
Temporary Importation under Bond is a procedure under specific conditions that goods can be imported, for a limited time, into the country - free of duty. Worldnet will guide you and consult if this is a service best for your shipping needs.
The processing time on a TIB is longer than clearing Customs normally, and not recommended unless the goods will be exported out within the required time frame AND is a higher value than usual.
Fish & Wildlife + CITES
US Fish and Wildlife Services (FWS) governs and enforces regulations pertaining to all shipments containing regulated Live Animals and Material of animal, and plant origin.
Certain FWS material are regulated by CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora), which is an international agreement between governments. Its aim is to ensure that international trade in specimens of wild animals and plants does not threaten their survival. Roughly 5,000 species of animals and 29,000 species of plants are protected by CITES against over-exploitation through international trade.
